The Roxbury Renaissance Center is currently under construction at 575 Warren Street and is scheduled to be completed in October 2008! Directly adjacent to Charles Street Church-owned property, this facility will be a 22,000 sq. ft premier community center including an elegant grand ballroom, multi-purpose meeting space, business-style conference rooms, quiet prayer/meditation spaces, sound-proof musical practice rooms, and a state-of-the-art recording studio - all completely handicapped accessible.

All of the features of the RRC will constitute a civic space, the quality of which has never been available to Bostons communities of color in their own neighborhood. Just as the Savoy, Audubon, and Renaissance ballrooms and the famed Apollo Theater served as vital cultural centers during Harlems rebirth in the 1920s and 1930s, the Roxbury Renaissance Center will make itself available to promote the educational, theatrical, literary, musical, political, and social strivings of Bostons communities of color.
